All Raw XPS spectra in *.VMS file format for the above manuscript

Samples are synthetic, marine (AKA nodule) and terrestrial (AKA HH)

For samples as received, heated to 500 deg. C +/- 50 deg. C and 950 deg. c +/- 100

Digitised raw TG-DSC QMS data *.xls format

Samples are synthetic marine and terrestrial.

Funding

X-ray photoelectron spectra were obtained at the National EPSRC XPS Users’ Service (NEXUS) at Newcastle University, an EPSRC Mid-Range Facility NS/A000015/1.

This research project has also been funded by the European Research Council (ERC) under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (Grant agreement No. 725613 MinOrg).
