Qualitative Data from Workshops Engaging People with Disabilites in Do-It-Yourself Activities with Personal Fabrication Tools

dataset
posted on 2017-01-01, 00:00 authored by P Wright, J Vines, JL Meissner, J McLaughlin, J Maksimova, T Nappey
The data was collected in course of a workshop series. It comprises anonymised transcripts of semi-structured preparation interviews conducted with five study participants, show-and-tell videos recorded by the participants and reflective discussions of the workshop facilitators after each session. Participants tell about their specific needs and expectations in the preparation interviews and report their experience of using maker technologies in the show-and-tell videos. The workshop facilitators discuss what they have observed during the workshop sessions.
