READ ME This text describes the data presented in the paper: Linear and circular dichroism characterization of thionine binding mode with DNA polynucleotides ======================== Introductory information ======================== Files included in the data deposit (include a short description of what data are contained): 1)Th_A_AT_TAT_absLDCDLDr.xlsx 2)Th_A.T_AbsLDCDLDr.xlsx 3)Th_AT_TAT_CD Melting.xlsx 4)Th_AT2_absLDCDLDr.xlsx 5)Th_DNA_AbsLDCDLDr.xlsx 6)Th_G.C_absLDCDLDr.xlsx 7)Th_GC2_absLDCDLDR.xlsx Explain the relationship between multiple data sets, if required: Each data set represents different polynucleotides with the same dye, thionine Key words used to describe the data: Absorption Spectra, circular dichroism spectra, linear dichroism spectra, linear dichroism spectra ========================== Methodological information ========================== A brief method description – what the data is, how and why it was collected or created, and how it was processed: Absorption, circular dichroism, linear dichroism spectra were collected for thionine dye with different DNA polynucleotides to study binding interactions and mode. Instruments, hardware and software used: Absorption spectra were collected on a Cary100bio instrument. Circular dichroism were collected on a JASCO instrument. Linear dichroism spectra were collected on a JASCO instrument adapted with a Couette Cell that was constructed at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. Date(s) of data collection: 1998 - 2015 Geographic coverage of data: Newcastle University UK, and Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. Data validation (how was the data checked, proofed and cleaned): Data was zeroed where necessary. Replicates at different concentrations were collected and checked against each other for consistency. Overview of secondary data, if used: NONE ========================= Data-specific information ========================= Definitions of names, labels, acronyms or specialist terminology uses for variables, records and their values: All files are .XLSX Th = thionine polynucleotides referred to according to bases they contain Explanation of weighting and grossing variables: NONE Outline any missing data: NONE ======= Contact ======= Please contact rdm@ncl.ac.uk for further information
