music-box-poem
This HTML/JS project displays the text of a poem and uses the switching random of the text between upper and lower case to control the playback of sound files. It was created for the poem 'Instructions for a Butterfly' and uses the 'Janet' typeface, created by Kate Sweeney.
The code in the relevant HTML and JS files is clearly commented to assist with adapting this template to new purposes. Details of the code libraries used can be found in the README file.
All data, images, artworks and poems that were not granted permission to share in this repository have been removed and replaced by placeholders.
This code repository is part of the PhD project 'Poetry in Digital Media: Investigating the Remediation of Poetry through Critical and Creative Practice' by Peter Hebden, Newcastle University 2021.
