GATERS at the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26)

 GATERS had the invitation from the International Chamber of Shipping to display the project activities in the "Shaping the Future of Shipping" conference/exhibition event on 5-6 Nov 2021 in conjunction with 26th Conference of the Parties (COP'26). The 2021 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) COP26 meeting in Glasgow was the most important COP meeting since the 2015 meeting that gave rise to the Paris Agreement. The policy announcements from John Kerry, US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate and Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, endorsed the event, which included a significant focus on the shipping industry.

In this event, GATERS was presented to over 250 global VIP audiences, including the UK and other foreign ministers, the IMO general secretary, the major stakeholder shipping companies, and the CEOs of the leading classification Societies through the effective dissemination materials prepared and displayed in the Technology Innovation Centre of the Strathclyde University.
