This show uses sound, as well as the traditional visuals, to represent the objects in space. It is an educational show that is designed to be accessible to people, irrespective of their level of vision. It was designed in collaboration with members of the blind and vision impaired community (e.g., the VIEWS group, Newcastle), specialist teachers of blind and vision impaired children, and blind and vision impaired children themselves.

This show makes use of new sonification techniques that we have been developing using the STRAUSS code (https://zenodo.org/record/5776280#.YitOSYzP1hE). The code turns data into sound.

The description of how it was produced will appear in April 2022s edition of Astronomy and Geophysics (Harrison et al.). Public access link: https://arxiv.org/abs/2112.02110
