Output geospatial data from paper 'Capturing geological uncertainty in salt cavern developments for hydrogen storage: Case study from Southern North Sea'
Outputs / Results from the paper 'Capturing geological uncertainty in salt cavern developments for hydrogen storage: Case study from Southern North Sea'.
V2 is outputs from updated workflow as of September 2024.
Results are supplied as:
***Geospaital Data***
GPKG files.
GPKG files are the output model iterations with the closest sum H2 TWH values to the p10, p50, p90 values and are named as such. Iteration for these can be seen within figures of supplie paper and cross refrenced to the CSV.
***Montecarlo simulation Data***
CSV files from montecarlo simulation
Nomenclature:
SetCav = Set Cavern geometry, size of 300 m height, 58 m Diameter.
VarCav = Varible Cavern Size, cavern sight is chosen dependent on salt thickness and height-to-diameter ratio.
SeisDATA = Seismic data derived caverns. Caverns were generated using geological surfaces interpreted from seismic data specifically for this paper, more details see manuscript.
See paper for more information on geological models used.
Three levels of output data:
- Basin wide, used geological surfaces from the following: input data from https://opendata-nstauthority.hub.arcgis.com/documents/be4c9089a1c04851970ec256695b49b7/about. Top target salt is top Zechstein
- Sub-regional, used geological surfaces from the following: input data from https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/bre.12768. (Seismic derived at 50m incline and xline, 5% residual depth conversion at Zechstein level) Top target salt is top Zechstein
- Block Level.
- Salt Wall: input data from https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/bre.12768. (Seismic derived at 50m incline and xline, 5% residual depth conversion at Zechstein level) Top target salt.
- Layered Evaporite: The top target salt is the Stassfurt Halite. Surfaces interpreted from seismic data(Seismic survery MA933F002), depth converted with a 7% residual at Top Zechstein.
