posted on 2021-04-08, 14:39 authored by Andrew Burton, Venda Pollock, Andrew Newman, Judith King, Rebecca FarleyRebecca Farley, Niki Black, Nick Cass

This collection contains 12 transcripts (including associated sample consent form and project information sheet) of the recorded audio interviews with four of the artists who were commissioned to create temporary artworks in heritage sites, for the Mapping Contemporary Art in the Heritage Experience (MCAHE) Project. These sites are National Trust Gibside (Andrew Burton and Fiona Curran}, National Trust Cherryburn (Mark Fairnington), Churches Conservation Trust Holy Trinity Church, Sunderland (Matt Stokes). The artists were interviewed two to three times across the duration of their commissions, spanning from the beginning to the end of the commissioning, making and installation process, to capture their experiences and learning from undertaking work in and with heritage sites and heritage organisations. The audio recorded interviews are also available.
