Expressed confidence of practising health practitioners to support self-management of pain in advance of attending a training course.
Data showing the self-reported confidence of primary care and community based staff working in the UK in supporting self-management of chronic pain prior to attending a training course. Staff indicated on a 0 to 10 scale their overall confidence in supporting self-management of pain and their confidence in specific elements of self-management support, for example explaining pain and the relevance of self-management and managing emotions. Data were analysed as a whole and according to staff professional groups.
