Change detection code for "<b>Environmental challenges and vanishing landscapes: remotely sensed insights into the climate-water-agriculture-heritage nexus in southern Iraq</b>"

<p dir="ltr">This research is an output of a project supported by the National Research Council (CNR) of Italy [grant numbers id.30505, SAC.AD002.043.020] and the Royal Society of the UK [grant number IEC\R2\222039] - Bilateral Agreement 2023-2024, “Vanishing archaeological landscapes under anthropogenic and climate change threats” project (Principal Investigators: F. Cigna, CNR-ISAC, and L. Rayne, UNEW). </p><p dir="ltr">This deposit comprises open-source JavaScript code which can be run in the free tool Google Earth Engine. It analyses change between (open-source) Sentinel-2 satellite images for the period 2018-2023. Changes at user-selected locations in vegetation, water extent and overall change magnitude can be investigated and downloaded using the layers which this code generates. </p><p dir="ltr"><br></p>
