Based on this, an energy and mass balance was conducted according to standard procedure. Waste heat quality and amounts were analysed and potential heat sinks identified based on the energy and mass balance. Data then was checked according to location of source and sink and integration points defined. Potential heat recovery was calculated. integration points for solar assisted heating were identified and calculations conducted using meteronomic data (Meteonorm). Simulation for yield and financial aspects were conducted in Matlab.
